Waywords and Meansigns: New Finnegans Wake audio project released!
I am colossally excited about the release of this new Finnegans Wake project. This will be my next audiobook to tackle. It’s 31 hours of james Joyce’s Finnegans Wake being read aloud, with backing music by different groups of musicians per section.

I need a physical book of this…
Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand reimagined as a Dr. Seuss story.
What a positively wicked juxtaposition.
He has previously Seussified The Call of Cthulu by H.P. Lovecraft.
This man is my hero of the day, for sure.

Why did I not hear about the PancakeBot until yesterday?
Vintage centerfolds
I just found a site, completely by accident, that seems to collect, present and celebrate vintage centerfolds, many from 70s-era Playboy, Penthouse, Cavalier, etc. You know, before porn was at our fingertips via cable TV and the Internet, when you had to actually walk into a place and ask for it by name, as if you were ordering a whiskey, with confidence and no shame or self-doubt, and that was okay, because gender roles were pretty stiff and everyone was too whacked out on liquor and pills to much give a shit about anything, including their kids, who were rummaging around in the trash rooms of their apartment complex looking for random stuff but really hoping to find exactly this. But I digress… Had I given you the link in the beginning you wouldn’t have read this far.

Mingering Mike, at the Smithsonian SOON!
Check out the story of Mingering Mike, which is a magical story of someone’s personal folk art taking on a life of its own, and then go check out the exhibit later this year.
If you’re not completely fascinated and awed by this story, you’re dead inside. http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2015/feb/11/-sp-mystery-of-mingering-mike-the-soul-legend-who-never-existed-jon-ronson?CMP=share_btn_fb

I’d like to thank the Plurals of Baltimore for bringing this to my attention.
